Tiger Home & Building Inspections, Inc. (Tiger) promises to protect the personal information given to us by visitors to our web site as well as the information included on our electronic mail lists.  Any information that you give to Tiger will be kept strictly confidential and will be held with the utmost care.  We will not knowingly sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement, unless we are required to do so by law.

Collection and Use of Information

We use an outside company to host our web site and our e-mail marketing system.  One of the reasons we use them is that they indicated to us they do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

Much of the general information on the Tiger web site can be accessed without needing to register your personal information.  We collect no information about you whatsoever when you are accessing these generic areas of our web site.

Voluntary e-mail lists:  While you are browsing the Tiger web site, you will have the opportunity to sign up to receive home inspection quote.  We will ask you for information such as your first name and email address.  We use return email addresses to send you the information you requested and/or to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Information to request an inspection:  While you are browsing the Tiger web site, you will have the opportunity to request a home inspection.  We will ask you for information about yourself and the property.  We will only use that information to begin the inspection process, prepare a quote, and then follow up with you by telephone or return e-mail.  We will not proceed with an inspection until we have a signed agreement with you.

Browser information collected on the web site:  As with many web site operators, Tiger analyzes our web site traffic to improve the value of our web site to our visitors. We use an external service to provide reporting to us of browser accesses to our site.  In our use of this service, we do not gather, request, record, require, collect, or track any Internet users’ personal information.

External Links

This web site provides links to various web sites that Tiger does not control.  When you click on one of these links, you will be transferred out of our web site and connected to the web site of the organization or company that you selected.  Even if an affiliation exists between our web site and a third party web site, we exercise no control over linked sites.  Consequently, Tiger is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites.  Each of these linked sites maintains its own independent privacy and data collection practices and procedures.  We encourage our visitors to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personal information.

Use of Cookies

Our site may use cookies to keep track of your visit and to make it possible for the visitor not to enter information multiple times.  A “cookie” is a small amount of data which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to your browser from a web site’s servers and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Each web site can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it.  To protect your privacy, your browser only permits a web site to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites.  If you set your preferences to reject all cookies, you may not be able to take full advantage of all of Tiger’s web site offerings.
