Dave moved to Colorado in 1993 to enjoy the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. He was born and raised in Southern California and graduated college from the University of Arizona in Tucson. After working in the construction industry, Dave started a solo home inspection business based in the central mountains of Colorado in 2005. Wanting to expand his home inspection operation, Dave had the opportunity to purchase Tiger Home and Building Inspections in January 2008 from the founding members. Dave’s goal has been to continue the excellent reputation that Tiger Home and Building Inspections has earned since 2000. Dave is a certified member of NACHI (National Association of Certified Home Inspectors). Certification# NACHI08021502. In his free time between running the business and doing residential and commercial inspections, Dave can be found on the ski slopes in the winter and the golf course or on his mountain bike in the summer.
“JJ” retired from a career in Electrical Engineering to be able to live in the mountains full time. He has been a business owner and also has extensive experience in home remodeling. JJ has a dual certification from the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI# 10041705) and has passed the National Home Inspector Examination, required by many states for certification. JJ has completed more than 1500 inspections as an inspector with Tiger. JJ and his wife, Laura, live in Dillon and are frequently seen skiing at Breckenridge and cycling around the mountains in the summer months.
John joined Tiger in 2011, after a three decade career in fire & emergency services, serving as chief fire officer, fire safety inspector and building code inspector. He was also a fire science instructor at the local college and still has a hand in public safety. Over the years, he learned about building trades and construction, including all components of a home fitting together, then decided to attend the American Home Inspectors Training Institute to achieve certification as a home inspector (NACHI # 12020812). He lives in rural Eagle County with his wife, Audrey and they enjoy horseback riding, hiking and fly fishing the high lakes in the wilderness.
Jim was born and raised in Orange County, California. He moved to Colorado in 1992 for a change of scenery and weather. He has worked in all aspects of the construction industry, from building new homes to remodels, for 30 years but was a licensed plumber for 20 of those years. He started his own plumbing business in 2012. He attended Kaplan Real Estate School in Denver to receive his home inspection certification. He is a certified member of InterNachi (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors). Certification # 16121201. Jim has lived in many places in Northern Colorado but currently lives in Evans with with his wife Amy and their 5 boys. In his free time he enjoys spending time fishing and spending time with the family.
After visiting the family cattle ranch in Colorado every summer, Andy permanently moved to Colorado in 1995. He brings well over a decade of experience in the inspection, construction safety/loss-control and property management fields. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater with a degree in Occupational Safety, and served as safety manager for a large roofing company, visiting jobs throughout Central Colorado. He was also a property manager for a large Vail Valley firm for several years.
Andy is a graduate of the prestigious Inspection Training Associates (ITA) Home Inspector Course, and started a home inspection business in 2004 on the side. He is a certified member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI#13050205) on Home Inspection Skills, Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics, and has completed the National Home Inspector Examination. He also performs insurance appraisals on residential structures and commercial loss-control services for insurance companies. Andy lives in the high-country and enjoys frequenting the backcountry year-round; skiing, backpacking and kayaking, and enjoys volunteering with several nonprofit organizations.
Tripp is an Atlanta, GA native and University of Georgia alumni. After college, Tripp began to work in the home building business. He was licensed by the state of Georgia as a residential contractor and built or remodeled houses for about a dozen years before moving to Colorado. Tripp attended the American Home Inspector Training Institute (AHIT) and is also certified through InterNACHI, certification #14061007, as well as passing the National Home Inspector Examination. Tripp’s enthusiasm for the outdoors led to his relocation to Colorado. While skiing in the Winter is an absolute favorite, he can be found hiking, biking, fly-fishing and more during the Summer months.
Fred moved to Colorado from the Pittsburgh area back in 2000 to enjoy the world class snowboarding this area has to offer. Since then he has become very knowledgeable in hydraulics, plumbing and general construction through various work ventures. His professionalism and customer service are a top priority. Fred is a NACHI certified Home Inspector and has completed the National Home Inspector Exam. InterNACHI ID#NACHI14101704Fred likes to enjoy his time off with his wife, 2 daughters, and their dog in the Leadville area where they live. Riding dirt bikes, camping, and hiking round out summer activities while skiing and snowboarding are the main focus in the winter. Just about any time of year he likes to wet a line fly fishing on the local streams.
Ben moved to Colorado from Maryland and graduated from Colorado State University. Ben has a background in mechanics and property maintenance, and brings these skills to his career in home inspections. He lives in Tabernash with his wife and son, where they enjoy skiing, rafting, and fishing. A long-time fly fishing guide, he loves to travel with his family and do a little fishing along the way. John has lived in Colorado since 2000. He has been involved in all phases of construction from building, financing and management as general contractor since 2003. He’s knowledge of new construction as well as older buildings methods makes him a great addition to the Tiger inspection team. John is a certified home inspector through NACHI.(ID #16021823). In Addition John holds Class A Unlimited General Contractors Licence, which includes all types of construction. John Studied chemical engineering at Moraine Valley CC in Illinois.
As a long time local, John has learned to appreciate beauty of the mountains and preserve it for future generations. In his spare time, John enjoys playing musical instruments, spending time with his wife and 2 daughters.
