Colorado is one of a number of States that does not have government regulation in the property inspection businesses. As housing markets change seasonally, and year to year, inspectors come and go, many with no background in mountain environments and often with few credentials. Tiger Home and Building Inspections prides itself on having every one of it’s inspectors InterNACHI certified. The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors is a world recognized standards & practices organisation and provides the the most respected industry accreditation. Our personnel are full-time, long-term inspectors constantly continuing their education to better serve our clients.
Operating a local office isn’t something a single inspector can justify. However at Tiger Home and Building Inspections we have a Dillon, Colorado office, staffed Monday – Friday during normal business hours. We are more than happy to schedule your inspection over the phone, answer any of your questions and coordinate with all the parties involved.
Our competitors outsource inbound calls to remote centers around the country, a configuration that leads to poor scheduling and distance between lines of communication. Tiger’s local office is responsible for scheduling around Colorado’s high mountain weather events and fixing problems in real time, thus providing our client an additional level of assurance that everything has been thought of.
Tiger Home and Building Inspections is equipping our highly experienced personnel with the most advanced and capable technology. Only a decade ago the ability to see behind walls was limited to a handful of specialty applications. Today, on the other hand, is a different story. With the help of thermal imaging, home inspectors can now detect moisture behind walls, ceilings, leaks in radiant floor heating systems and gaps in insulation. Testing for the presence of Radon is another large service we perform in the mountain environment. Tiger deploys a continuous readout machine that plots to a high degree of accuracy, the level of radon gas entering a home on a minute by minute basis. The information garnered from these methods of observation can be used to estimate the cost of mitigation or repair and be used as leverage in final negotiations in the purchase of a home.
